1st row | A special transformer generating high-frequency high voltage with high-frequency current from spark discharge is a Tesla coil. At this exhibition site inside the science museum, visitors can identify the electric field generated by Tesla coil using the neon tube. 1. Father of Alternating Current, Tesla Tesla, born in Croatia in 1856, emigrated to the United States at 28 years old, obtained 272 patents in 25 countries and immensely contributed to electrical engineering fields such as voltage engineering, wireless communications and radio. While his contemporary inventor, Edison, completed direct current method, with the selection of alternating current method by Tesla for the world’s first hydroelectric power plant at Niagara Falls in 1895, it had actually started to use alternating current. Tesla, a misfortunate genius who was left behind of Edison, was not well acknowledged for his lifetime, but in 1961, the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) named the unit of magnetic field stren |

2nd row | Is Time Travel by a time machine possible? The time interval between the signal specification at one point and the identical time specification at another point is called a time delay. Although Newton defined that time and space are absolutely identical in any place, according to the Einstein s theory of special relativity that the speed of light is constant, and time and space are defined by an observer each, time is delayed and the length becomes shorten since the speed of light is unchanged when there is a very fast moving object. Let s learn about the Theory of Special Relativity. Theory of Special Relativity is started based on the assumption that Light is moved at the same speed to the observer moving at constant velocity . Based on this theory, it is possible to know there are time delay, increasing mass, and time delay, and from this theory, we can guess on the following facts. 1. What happens earlier happens later, and what happens later happens first. 2. Time goes slowly in a moving object. 3. A m |
3rd row | Cycloid is the path of a point on a wheel, when the wheel rolls along a straight line. Generally, it is thought that the fastest way to pass through two points is to go through the straight line connecting the two points. But however, on a cycloid, one may arrive faster to the arrival point due to the larger acceleration than the straight line. At this exhibition site inside the science museum, You may easily check the speed difference between the circular path of the cycloid and the straight path using the ;LED light system; and the ;ball movement tracking system.; |
4th row | What is Classical Mechanics? It is a physics that explains the relationship between the power applied on an object and the movement based on deterministic interpretation. Classical Mechanics is divided into statistics that is about unmoving objects in balance of power and kinetics that is about moving objects. It could very accurately predict phenomena in daily life, with very wide range of correct results while using relatively simple and easy mathematics. It is also called as Newtonian Mechanics after Newton who made the law of movement. Aristoteles Aristoteles believed that the world was divided into the sky and the land, as commonly known at the time. He thought that substances in making of the land are consisted of four elements such as water, fire, soil and air, and these elements take its own unique place on the ground so the position is determined according to the weight. In other words, heavy soils take up at the bottom with water, air, and fire taking up the upper positions in order. These four ele |
5th row | What is the Mobius band? It is created by taking a narrow and long paper strip and giving it a half-twist (180 degrees), and then joining the ends of the strip together to form a loop with no differentiation of the inside and the outside. This band is called as Mobius band because it was first discovered by the German mathematician Mobius. How can we use the Mobius band ? The representative example of the Mobius strip is a conveyer belt operating the machine at a factory. Made with a twist of the belt like the Mobius band to two wheels, both sides of the exterior belt are evenly worn out and it is not easily escaped so lifespan was more increased with safety. What is Klein s bottle? The bottle with no differentiation of the inside and the outside without the edges is called as Klein s bottle. There is a figure unable to tell the inside and the outside like the Mobius band. The German mathematician Klein designed a figure without differentiation of the inside and the outside by getting into the side of a c |

| Time Dilation | Is Time Travel by a time machine possible? 3. A m |
| Cycloid enabling you to find the shortest path | Cycloid is the path of a point on a wheel, when the wheel rolls along a straight line.
그 후에 실험을 통해서 진자의 길이에만 관계가 있다는 사실을 밝혀냈지요 | With Scientists of Classical Mechanics | What is Classical Mechanics?

Chaos Theory is explaining an unstable and irregular phenomenon with order and regularity, and generally, it is easily thought that a watermill is rotating in one direction but the rotation direction of a watermill is changed depending on the volume of water, and as such condition is continued, a watermill reaches chaos condition. At this exhibition site inside the science museum, visitor can easily understand Chaos Theory through the operation exhibit with changing direction in the movement of a hydraulic turbine. What is Chaos Theory ? There are numerous, unexpected phenomena in nature, and phenomena among them with huge different results by slight changes in early conditions are explained by Chaos Theory. Chaos is a Greek word meaning an empty space, a primitive condition before the birth of the universe, often used as chaos. Chaos Theory established its theoretical foundation b |

| Prime number, The golden section, Pi, Golden ratio | What is the golden section? The golden section is about 1:1.68, the given length is divided by the most ideal ratio. The principle of the golden section was explained by Euclid (BC 300) in ancient Greece, and questioned by Leonardo da Vinci (1452 ~ 1519) through the division of the human body in Renaissance. This Geometric principle in proportions is widely applied as shells, form of crystal plants, Egyptian pyramids, The Canon of Proportions in Greek sculptures and Gothic temples in medieval constructions, and to modern paintings. What is a prime number? A prime number is a natural number greater than1 that has no positive divisors other than 1 and itself, and pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter which can be obtained using the fact that the circumference of n-gon circumscribed a circle becomes closer to the circumference as n increases.
